About this group. This group was created, gee about 5 years ago, give or take. Wonderland, we have many RPs to choose from. They are including anything from Sci-Fi, to horror, to Fantasy/adventure. all including one common element, the Supernatural.
Rules:
1. When you join, all you need to do it post your desired characters profile under the correct Profile board. Reguardless if it is a cannon character(A person from the story that inspired the RP, IE Gabriel Van Helsing), or an original character(made up by you), all characters must be approved by me, dont worry the guidelines arent that strict and most characters 99% will be accepted quickly, within 24 hours.
2. Guidelines for characters are simple. If it is a cannon character with well known info, then try not to stray to far from the info already known about her. Dont go adding crazy powers and such. If it is a made up character, then the best bet would be, "dont make them to perfect or to god like", in other words, no "Mary-Sues". Characters who are to perfect or to god like are seriously frowned upon. Everyone has flaws, and very few are all powerful.
3. Once your character is posted and approved, you may jump in the desired RP at any time. So if you play Jack Sparrow, go for it, post an RP as him.
4. When RPing, the one golden rule is thus... Dont puppet other peoples characters. What is puppeting you may ask. Well, this is the act of playing another persons character for them. IE you move someone elses character or make them do or say something that the owner doesnt want them to do. You control your characters, other people control their characters. The one time this is allowed is if you have permission to do so.
5. RP length. Generally we arent to picky to how long an RP is. But more then one sentence would be preferable. You cant just say "Jack Sparrow walks into the pub and sits down." and expect to get a reply. Give more details. Does he look around and sees someone he knows? Maybe its a dimly lit space with lots of dust, maybe the bar maid flirts with him. So on and so forth. Be creative. 1 line RPs wont be ignored, but they are extremely hard to reply to and it feels like little to no effort is taken.
6. Correct spelling and punctuation is preferable. I have no doubt that I myself have made some grammar mistakes in this post alone, the occasional slip up is fine and wont be a problem. However, forgetting periods or to use quotations when a character speaks, or following basic rules of grammar in every post all the time is a big no-no. I may not be the master of the english language, but at least I try. Thats all we ask of you, try your best, if you dont know how to spell something, look it up if you want, or try your best to spell it. You dont have to spell check everything if you dont want to, or only have a limited time to RP, but as long as we know what you mean, its all good. Thats part of what RPing is, to help you improve on spelling and grammar.
7. Be ACTIVE. We dont ask that you are on 24/7, but check in as much as you want, Id say if you can get on for 30 mins a day every day, then thats the most we can ask of you.
8. Dont give up! You may post an RP and find no responce the next day, or the day after. It could be that the person forgot to reply, was to busy, didnt see your post, so on and so forth. Simply post a follow up RP trying to get their attention. Then, if they fail to reply again, maybe private message them or post on the OOC board. If they dont reply then, find someone else to RP with until you find someone to stick with, or someone you like.
9. Be respectful to everyone. If you have a beef with someone, please try to talk it out in private first, if it doesnt get resolved, email or message me and I will step in to try and solve the problem to the best solution for both parties. I have been rping for many years and have been managing groups for almost as long, so there is rarely a problem I cant solve. Please do not air dirty laundry in public. One upset member can effect the moods of others, so please keep in mind before you post.
10. Have fun. That is what Roleplaying is all about!!!
